The Man of Your Dreams

imageThe more I know of the world, the more I am convinced that I shall never see a man whom I can really love. I require so much!

~Jane Austen, from Sense And Sensibility

A man only has to learn four words to have a successful relationship with a woman – ‘You’re right. I’m sorry.’  Well, you know I’m joking (a little) but there is a bit a truth in there.  From the time a little girl begins to dream about the man who will come along, her head is usually filled with visions of a prince or a character from a Jane Austen novel.  Sense and Sensibility was published in 1811, and it has never been out of print.  That’s because little girls’ hearts don’t change.  They long for someone who will cherish them and never let them down.

Such a man does exist, but only one.  Many relationships fail because someone expects something from the other that only Jesus Christ can provide.

Sensible?

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

  1. Indeed! Our Lord even surpasses the visions we hold – if we let Him! xo dw Sent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone. From: Literary LifeSent: Thursday, October 30, 2014 7:12 AMTo: donnawick1@gmail.comReply To: Literary LifeSubject: [New post] Hebrews 13:8 The Man of Your Dreams
