This corner of the web is my messy workroom, and you are welcome here. My posts are a reflection of my morning quiet time when the Lord and I commune without distraction. I read, meditate, pray and write. In these hours it’s difficult to distinguish one from the other.
My passion for literature and liturgy is a reflection of my love of words, but more so of The Word – Jesus Christ.
The Gospel of John opens with this:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.
I believe every day is a gift, and there are many who received it yesterday that did not receive it today. It is my goal to return that gift to God every morning in a commitment to use that day to bring Him glory. I pray to be more like Jesus at the end of the day than I was at the beginning, and to do so by seeking the guidance and empowerment of God’s Holy Spirit. It’s all about doing the next right thing, whatever that happens to be.
If you found this page, I prayed for you this morning. God loves you more than you will ever know, and I hope you find encouragement here.
Grace and peace,
From cowardice, that shrinks from new truth,
From laziness, content with half truth,
From arrogance, that thinks it has all truth—
O God of Truth deliver us.
